You’re missing the point. Discord is meant for that kind of stuff. The issue is people think it’s suitable as a replacement for forums entirely while forgetting that Transcord is god awful for archiving and having meaningful conversations.
It's absolutely terrible for text conversations.

In my case it's really just due to being too shy and reserved, I'm not afraid of any government shit. Turkish govt doesn't care if you post on edgy websites, they just ban some of them if they are popular enough to be on their radar. To be fair, incel forums are honeypots most of the time.
No, I've been able to use it without vpn for a while now. Additionally there's been a terror attack on the capital recently so there's a general social media ban for a temporary amount of time. Even youtube is blocked right now.

From my observations of forums online that I've browsed before, this doesn't seem very true to me. Even while, like you, I've also only joined the Shlog and chuds.life as a member, I've never seen or heard of a forum where people making introduction posts about themselves was a mandatory act.
