Oh well I'm sure you've asked several Syrians to form an educated opinion, Joking aside do a very small amount of digging and on BOTH sides you'll find that he was a maniac. Hell don't even look for news sources and ask Syrians (If you can get in touch with any) about Assad, People really didn't like this guy for an ungodly long list of reasons which were well documented.

I didn’t mean that he was a NATO puppet. I meant that russia needs a leadership that will oppose NATO and CIA as putin does, but without the immoral realpolitik, which is the exact same reason everyone hates nato and cia for.

CIA dropped support for the rebels after the kurds branched into syria. They leech, destabilize, murder and pillage in every country they are situated in so they’re prime divide and conquer material and for that same reason the kurdish uprisings in iraq and turkey were already kicked off by the CIA decades prior to the syrian civil war. Once their guys branched in and got hold of a bunch of the oil fields they sided with them instead. The FSA at the start of the war ceased in 2015 and split into multiple factions (one of which was the kurds) from then on what people kept referring to as the “FSA” was actually the SNA which is primarily supported by turkey. The “CIA backed rebels” you speak of haven’t existed for almost a decade. The backing didn’t persist into the SNA and if it did they would’ve been backing the people that fight against the people holding their oil fields.

Assad was a faggot that shelled his own people just because they were in rebel territory. There used to be plenty of the CCTV footage on liveleak (not sure where you’d find them now since it died long ago). I remember one of them had a 7-8 year old looking kid , the shell hits and after the smoke clears he no longer had legs and was trying to crawl away in a pool of blood with several others with similar injuries. 200 thousand people shared the same fate targeted by assad’s regime. There’s nothing to shill in that.

Israel is just israel, they fuck around for the sake of it. Assad’s downfall is just a retarded excuse for them to get involved, he wasn’t magically keeping them at bay. They’re already fighting a two, now three front war which this particular one will be distinct from palestine and lebanon because those didn’t have jihadis battlehardened for 13 years. I do not expect it to go far.
