That's their justification for the strikes and their recent incursion into Syrian territory. They want a "buffer zone" against the militants, since they've torn up the Golan Heights disengagement agreement from fifty years ago now that the Assads are out. Netanyahu said earlier today that the Israelis won't "allow any force to establish itself" on the State of Israel's borders, and so now they've decided to start blowing people up across Syria with their warplanes, apparently flying as far as Deir ez-Zor to do this. Al-Mayadeen news agency confirmed around twenty minutes ago that this Israeli aggression is still ongoing.

Putin won’t be going anywhere. Though I do find it curious you consider him a NATO puppet but not the CIA-backed rebels.

Somewhat. It's hard to directly say with all certainty that "the rebels" have all been backed by Israeli meddlings (because there are so many groups involved in either the Syrian Interim Government, which has been far-more-blatantly backed by Israel and the West, and the Syrian Salvation Government, where more concealment has been applied with funneling arms and funds to them by Mossad and the CIA since they're a successor to the al-Qaeda fighting groups), but Israel has been conducting airstrikes for a long while on Hezbollah targets within Syria (which were fighting for Assad) with a few strikes even on SAA targets themselves (if I remember correctly). I'd say that Israeli military involvement began around 2016. So, they have "assisted" them both directly and indirectly, through their own targeted strikes of Assad-allegiant forces and through their armament support of particular rebel groups for the past near-decade.
I remember when the war first started that i saw things on the internet saying that "Israel was found to be bringing syrian rebels and even ISIS fighters into care to repair there wounds in israeli hospitals in the golan.) And that israel was funding and activly arming the rebels and ISIS to topples assad aslong as giving them Strategy and other forms of support etc and america was also doing this years later i do more research into it and it was true also funnily enough it was public information that Israel unlike many other Western Nations was Refusing to help Fight and Destroy ISIS
