You can emulate multiplayer switch games too if they have LAN support, I've done it with mario party before. Would prob be more enjoyable to run an older wii or nintendo 64 title multiplayer though. That isn't some "old games are just better" thing, I mean they'll probably be way easier to setup and run well on a steamdeck than something like mario party superstars would be.

That’s why I need the specs. If the Switch 2 is on the power level of a PS4 then I’ll have to upgrade my PC if I want a chance at emulating it.
If Nintendo announced a new DKC, Mario Kart, and Metroid Prime 4 all within a year then maybe, maybe I’d seriously consider buying if the PC route fails.

If it can run all their first-party games at 1080p 60fps then I’ll be satisfied.
Can't for Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze HD and Mario Bros Wonder 2, while any other game that isn't first party runs at 520pp and 30fps
What are your pc specs, even more modern apus can emulate nintendo switch well. Older gpus are far better, you could easily plop in a $10 1050 off of marketplace and enjoy

Nothing since the Wii U era has been that great besides Metroid Dread which was decent enough.
i might consider getting a steam deck due to my 5 year old switch being a buggy overheating piece of metal and i really don't do anything on it other than jewtube, not like there are any good titles left in the console and everything is atleast 50 euros, i'd rather get a comfy gaben vidya switch and like that i only have to pay once for my titles for both my laptop and steam deck
Yeah, I'd do it, it's pretty well built and feels luxurious in comparison to the switch in my experience. My friend purchased one and I was able to try it.
