Gaming Replaying GTA3 and came to a conclusion

No I still absolutely love this game. Playing while getting raped by migraines just sucks. Not all missions are bangers though. I just did the one where you kill a ton of cartel members. Did it with an ak, I really want to try it with the og controls (lock on system that's kind of slow).

Liberty City Stories holds up better. Still janky, but the mission design is tighter and the driving feels smoother. Are you playing on an emulator or console?
GTA3 I'm playing the PC port. The PS2 version on PS3 runs like ass and doesn't have some of the features the pc version has like an actually functional second analog stick and 1080p (even 4k) textures.

LCS I still play on emulator due to a lack of a PC port and the PS2 version being good enough. My chinkheld can run LCS PSP version at a similar framerate to the PS3 emulator albeit at the cost of battery.

@1Based Frog1 do you like GTA4? I replayed it not even a month ago and thought it was too repetitive and linear. The engine and plot were the only good things about it.
It's a weird one for me. Half the missions boil down to "drive here, shoot guy, get away," and it leans so hard into realism that it forgets to be fun sometimes.

Niko was probably the most human protagonist in the series, but the world didn't reward exploration like San Andreas or even Vice City. Liberty City looked amazing but felt kind of dead.

This game kinda did age like shit, a lot of shit missions and the car flipping gets super annoying. I considered it one of my favorite games but damn some of these missions are giving me aids.

Looking forward to Liberty City Stories though, had it as a kid but I'd always just drive around Portland in it and never did any missions.
got raped in the "demolition man" mission

The third island is so DOGSHIT I can't believe there are like 10 missions where you have to go from Staunton to there. I ALWAYS get lost on my way to literally anywhere. Actual nightmare to travel.
