They were still quite friendly with eachother even after the Sinai war and Suez crisis which had both great world-powers at the time (USA and USSR). Support Egypt against Britain, France, and Israel for both ideological and pragmatic reasons including the fight against Colonialism, killing of the old world powers and 19th Century Empires and competition for power, influence, control, and strategy in the Middle-East which both the US and USSR had interests in.
There were also still Socialist and Eastern-Bloc Communist states like Romania (Particully). That had actually kept relations with Israel strong even after the six day war and had even signed pacts with Israel of friendship and economic deals after the six day war to secure deals and friendship.
