Yeah. So the Islamic religion actually provides protection for non-muslims if they pay a tax, which they historically did. Orthodox Christian subjects of the Ottoman Empire were well protected and many of them served in high positions. You said Islam tells you to outright kill the unbeliever but that's simply not true when you look at the whole picture instead of cherry picking hadiths.

Jesus' words about bringing a sword is not about literally dividing families, it's about spiritual allegiance over worldly ties. If your dad doesn't believe, that's between him and God, but it doesn't mean you abandon him. Christianity is about unity in faith, even if not everyone gets there.

Would be nice if it were clearer. You can interpret the Bible in a million different ways and choose what’s scriptural or not.
