The Christian God offers the gift of eternal to those who do His will.

His will is that you believe in Jesus Christ, that He died on the cross to pay the price of ALL your sins, and this gift is eternal; you can't lose it afterwards, because then how is it a free gift.

There is nothing you can do for this gift, there is nothing you can do for God, this is what God, Christ, is doing for you, for how could you ever meet up to God's standard?

But to believe is to believe with your heart, not vain words, rituals or a mere acknowledgement in your mind.

''But faith without works is dead'' - James 2:14-26

Yeah, FAITH without works can wither and die, but not your salvation which is obtained through faith, because this gift is a one time thing.

If you believe in Christ, you will most likely change your sinful ways and try and be better, and those good things you do, which are thanks to the Holy Spirit, will help further nurture your faith, but not add nor take from your salvation.

WORKS DO NOT SAVE, they only show your faith to other people.

Now, you should obey God's law and Christs word after salvation, but if you don't, your salvation isn't gone, but God will punish you on Earth

James isn’t arguing that works save you; he’s pointing out that genuine faith naturally produces visible evidence in your life. If there’s no fruit, the issue isn’t the fruit itself, it’s whether the tree is alive. Works are a symptom, not the cure.

I know, but a lot of false prophets use that to say you need works for salvation.

Salvation is a free gift
But when saved, you can still earn rewards by doing good works and/or resisting temptation, but you're salvation remains untouched

Correct. Ephesians 2:8-9 states this: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
