Gaming I don’t understand how competitive online gaming is fun to some people

The last online game I enjoyed was Toontown
I remember Toontown and Club Penguin existing but I never got the choice to participate in the original iterations
I know that Club Penguin: Rewritten is a thing. (Was?) I don't really remember, it's been 6 years since I've interacted with it. I don't know if it's still alive. I'm pretty sure there was something similar for Toontown as well, but I don't know where that's gone as well. Probably dead.
Oh well. Not like it's that much of a loss anyway, albeit these types of games were better than the ostensible horrible shit that's out nowadays like Roblox (grooming pedophile central) and Webfishing (grooming pedophile central with more faggotry injected in)

Legalize the "nigger" word on competitive online games and it'll be 1000x funner. Especially for ranked Halo MCC.
That polished piece of shit aborted from 343's rotten womb is still alive? I never knew this. I bought it solely so that I could experience the singleplayer campaign in all of the older Halos. I never bothered with the multiplayer except for once when I wanted to know how the CE multiplayer experience was when you were basically forced to either play with 4 players on a single cramped screen or host your own LAN party.

Halo MCC I only play because it's convenient and Halo 3, Reach, and 4 matchmaking are dead. Halo 2 has Insignia, but H3/Reach/4 require mods I refuse to do on Xbox 360, as they can get you banned. If I had a way to easily do private matches more, I probably would, but I prefer H2 anyways (H3 is also very fun in multiplayer tho).

Halo MCC is ok, but it would benefit greatly from an actual ability to shit-talk people without getting banned, now you have to hide out in party chat for actual fun. I know Halo 2 Classic has a Team Slayer ranked mode at least, but it probably isn't even worth grinding to Rank 50 on there.

Enter match, die within five minutes, wait in lobby, kill someone, die, respawn, die. In the rare instance you do win, what do you get out of it besides a bigger number on your profile? You aren’t progressing towards any goal.

And don’t get me started on the metagame shit and all the twelve year old sweats.
Play a competitive game that isn't FPS. It's funner, I promise.

Glad to be the first reply to this thread. This past year I only played singleplayer games due to an unforeseen internet limitation, and all I've been wanting is to see someone chimp out over getting their blue buff stolen for a few months now.
