I got all 16 badges and killed Red. This is my first traditional Pokemon game I’ve beaten to completion, and my final thoughts on it are a bit mixed.

I think I like the concept of Pokemon more than I like the actual game. The story was shit and the gameplay is pretty repetitive. I mean, Mewtwo killed everything in one shot in the endgame. Where’s the fun in that?

Throughout the entire game I was hoping Giovanni would’ve made a surprise appearance. That would’ve made up for the nothing burger of a story. But no, Team Rocket just fucks off forever without putting up a fight.

And the game is so slow, that if I didn’t have 3x emulation speeds I would never have beaten it.

A Pokemon game where you actually fight in real-time would've been far more kino.

Giovanni left Team Rocket after getting defeated by Red. The whole point of them being in this game is to show their organization is worthless without him.

Now hit battle frontier

Pokemon games are only somewhat fun if you nuzlocke them.
That sounds more annoying than fun. I just don’t grind at all and that’s been challenging enough.
Which one?
FireRed
Now hit battle frontier
I’ll probably come back to it later. I’m enjoying FireRed much more than HeartGold.
Hey, I didn't at all read anything you've written apart from the title. I'd like to say, first and foremost, that I don't care (I feel like being an assholei n this specific thread). Please spend your time on better games, even Palworld would be better. Thanks.
Palworld is kind of crap if I’m being honest. And I don’t know what to play anymore so it’s Soykemon binging for me.

I think Giovanni is hiding out in a cave like Saddam Hussein or Osama if I remember correctly
