Sorry I’m late. Merry Christmas, and may the peace of Christ be with you all.

By the way, how many of you have attended the Divine Liturgy?

Speaking of liturgy and attendance. My grandparents in Romania apparently pay a small fee to their church (amount of money optional), so that me and my brothers name are a part of a certain list of names, which I think in every liturgy are read out and blessed.

You are a Protestant. Therefore the Eastern Orthodox are heretics to you.
It's a bit more complex than that. I don't like Protestantism at all, and, really, I'm quite ready to leave the Baptist church that I attend so that I can attend an Orthodox parish, as I find myself agreeing far more with Eastern Orthodox theology than the swiss cheese of reason that is the theology of my birth denomination (by that I mean that I feel it is unfulfilling and neglects the history of the real church of Christ, thus, "filled with holes" like cheese), however, as I said, I don't live in place where an Orthodox Christian community is present, and so I'm unable to attend the services of the church.

Do you even need to attend Church services often as an Orthodox Christian? If the closest parish is (for example) 500km away then you can just go there only a few times get baptized and chrismated. Or no? Also could catechesis be done in part remotely?

Also have you considered just running away from your parents and subsequently becoming homeless, so you can live in a city where there is an Orthodox parish? Or would this be a sin?

Well, I'd certainly like to. I don't know how often the average Orthodox Christian attends church in our times, but I believe the original teaching is to at least do so every Sunday, if not also attending the weekday services and the Great Feasts when one is able to do so. It isn't like I can currently do any of that at the moment, however, as my family doesn't know that I harbor these feelings of our faith, and I don't want to cause a rift with them over it (my mother is a very devoted Baptist and her soul can not be shifted at all with any quantity of my words, no matter the quality of them, so it would only be an attack upon her wellbeing for me to reveal anything of this to her).

I would be dishonoring my parents by causing them such grave sorrow in fleeing from them. It would break their hearts, and consequentially, it would break my own from the shame of doing such a thing.
