I'd prefer something like a "wife's day". I think that a loyal wife deserves to be commemorated and cherished. However, the plain, drab woman, lacking any aspect of goodness to her, and being identified only by the condition of her sex, with her character excluded, can not possibly deserve a dedicated day, for what have all women done that could ever be celebrated? Nagging?

It's more a celebration of heritage (check Irish/German/Italian heritage month, Although it's very niche especially here in the states) than history considering every month is white history month (considering how modern society was founded by Europeans)
