Basically they’re bug people who have to conform to their overlords systems. This is where they derive all sense of identity or self worth. It’s a hyper competitive rat race to the bottom
Indians, Chinese, and other races that have begun to swarm the Earth work hard because if they don't, they can't standout. There are too many competitors, anything is a competition to some of them.
They memorize instead of understand. If you are creative and understand the basics of any topic you don't need to study all the scenarios. That is why the actually smart people don't study hard and get good scores

This is also why Brazilian culture is to study for 16 hours a day for uni acceptance tests just to be a mediocre doctor in a country that's filled to the brim with them already. The highest excellence is, ironically enough, mediocrity.
There are various things that have different levels of required memorization or reasoning, you can memorize things up to a point where you can reason or intuit your way up to a decent understanding of them, but it isn't fully universal because there are things that are simply not correlated and you must learn by brute force. The level at which you can pass from memorization to intuition is a good measurement of how smart you are
