Gaming Why did VR never take off?

its retarded
the hype was from people thinking it would track your dick and it would be ultra-inmersive and with 4k rtx graphics
its instead shitty unity graphics and really the only inmersive thing about it is a basic tracking screen and the hands that you have to hold bars to

It never had the staying power because it never had any games that were really "definitive" or really popular and
I DO think that it had fun games, but they were all either small tech demo games, knockoff versions of popular console games, or just ports of console/PC games, also it never got huge companies to fully endorse it.
The Quest 3 came out at an awkward time compared to the Quest 2, the reason the Quest 2 did so well is because it was released by Christmas, and so many games were released day 1, this didn't happen with the 3, I still think it's really gemmy though.
Sony pretty much gave up on VR 1-2 years ago, Apple is normieslop, and Valve kept having so many (fake) leaks about what headset they'll release next to the point that no one cared about it anymore.
its instead shitty unity graphics
There's actually VR games that DO look good, such as Hitman, Half Life Alyx and Skyrim VR, but unityslop cookie cutter android games that get released daily on the quest store ruined the reputation, but yeah, a lot of the games look bad.
Vr has less games than the PS5
Tsmt
But, the PSVR1 to PSVR2 comparison is nearly the same as PS4 to PS5, slightly better graphics, but less games.
The PSVR1 had thousands of big games, but the PSVR2 has 40-50 games and you can't play PSVR1 games on it AT ALL.:itsover:

VR technology so far has been a lot like 3D screens, it was actually a very cool idea, but it mainly turned out to be a gimmick with no real, practical use. Also, it can easily make some motion sick. I have a PS4 VR sitting around, and I had to take it off after less than 30 minutes because it was just annoying to use and I had begun to feel a bit sick. VR has very few, if any *worthwhile* games, and what it does have is often just modified versions of existing games like Skyrim, or stuff like VR Chat. I'd probably use VR every once in a while if there was anything worth it. On an unrelated note, the only semi-good case of 3D I have seen was on the "New" 3DS XL models, because you could use the 3D functionality in the little software which supported it without it literally burning your eyes off, but it still was worthless bc there weren't many, if any good games which supported it to it's full potential.
It is slop but it's pretty kino, I tried one as a demo at the Apple store when getting my mac fixed.
You should kill yourself for being this much of a slop-loving faggot.
