so far i thought about magic as a pact with a demon? but looking at ancient scripture most specifically the book of enoch

it appears they would do witchcraft with roots and plants as an early form of magic, i dont know if this would be alchemy or not since alchemy deals with transmutation and it seems these were used in the making of enchantments

and in how this conflicts with my understanding of magic

"demons" arent the fallen angels but the unclean spirits of the dead nephilim because they cant be the watchers or the fallen angels because both are being held in tartarus

so how did they have magic back then before the nephilim were spiritual beings back when they had a physical body

The Watchers themselves were spiritual beings, so the sorcery they taught men was performed in their name and channeled entirely through them. This made their sorcery far more powerful and corrupting than its modern forms.

it would make sense that witchcraft exist as some manipulation of this construction

I've thought this too, wanting to drown out the noise of it all with solitude, but what would be the point of such an isolation, I say It's best to be a noble man with good intentions in a cruel world
I feel like the biggest rejection of the mainstream is simply living a happy life. God wants you to enjoy his creations, and you should seek to do that with ones you love and care about.
