Thinking of buying a motorcycle

Finally got a working bike, the first one was great, but then it imploded, so took it back. This next one was $10 at a Thrift and it works, I took it out to an abandoned lot and got on. Riding a bicycle is ridiculously easy, it took me a literal minute to be able to ride it with no prior experience. Guess that motorcycle course is coming sooner than I thought, but my friend took the test for it today and failed. He basically burned almost 400 dollars and he wants to give it another go. He told me it's really hard to control at low speed, so I'm going to focus on that when biking even though most of today was just 15-20mph straight lines, circles, and turning practice.

>risking your life to look cool
It's not about looking cool, it's about freedom and enjoyment. Being in a car feels so restrictive, I think of motorcycles as a way out of that. Also, you feel everything two wheels down, so I think of it like flying more than driving. Low T spasmales wouldn't understand.
You can take a nigger out of a ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of a nigger
Most people who ride motorcycles in America are white, so I don't know what you were on about with this one. Also, racism is not wholesome.

Go ahead and open this image for me, it's for you

Just came back from some late night biking, I'm definitely improving. I think I'll register for the course this weekend or next weekend, depending how I feel come Friday. Also, I've realized a dual sport motorcycle is probably better suited for what I actually need considering I drive a lot in the city, and the roads there are absolute shit in some places. A cruiser isn't as nimble in the city for those alleyway tight turns too, so I'm looking at the BMW F700GS right now which is around 3-5k used w/ low mileage depending on the year. I'd want to buy something like a tiger 800, but I think it'd be better to get some riding experience with a bike that's cheaper to insure, that way I'm not paying crazy rates off rip.

Dual sports seem to be the most utilitarian and all around performing bikes, the 700gs has a 0 to 60 of 3.8 seconds, 75hp (57ftlb tq), is easily highway capable w/ a top speed hovering just below 110mph, it's got an offroad capable suspension, around a 200 mile range, and an mpg between 50-60. Seems like a solid first motorcycle, the only issues with it are the tires are tubed, so I can't patch them up on the road if something happens. That and it's a BMW... :cage:

Shit might be a bit more expensive to fix, so of course I'll be looking into alternatives.

I got kicked out of the course for taking up too much time. Took the "Don't worry about the others, go at your own pace" advice too literally I guess. Either way, riding felt really good and I'm sure about it now. I understand the controls too, but I kept getting them mixed up with my bicycle muscle memory. Like I'd try to waddle to a stop and stop it with my legs, and since I'm unfamiliar with the operation of a clutch I'd often let go off it without ease and it'd stall the motorcycle. My limbs are longer too, so it took time for me to find my natural position on the smaller rebel 300. Was told to contact them about a potential free retake opportunity, but if these guys just take my money and run off with it I don't blame them considering how shit I was at first. Sucks that they kicked me off right when I felt good, I was making turns at speed and got shifting down.

I was up all night completing the online course, because I procrastinated like a dummy. So the whole time I was running off of 40 minutes of sleep, and I only realize now how slow that made me mentally. I'm having trouble remembering shit from moments ago and focusing on things in my mind, so I get why it took so long for me to understand the instructions. If I'm lucky enough for them to give me a retake free, I'll go ahead and do it well rested the next time and read up a little more on the operation of a motorcycle. Disappointed in myself, the instructor was telling me I just needed more time and I'd have it for sure next time. But it feels like those words were empty and just an attempt at getting me to come back with more money, so if a free retake or other solution isn't offered I'll retake the course elsewhere.

Fuck.... I have work in a couple hours too

Man that's raped, they tell you to take your own pace but you can just feel them scrutinizing you, just tell me to not be a slow nigger, if they tell me to take it slow then I do and it's the same outcome, I hate normgroids kill normgroids.

Giving up on the MSF for now, don't feel like wasting more money. I'll take it somewhere else later once I know how to ride, for now, I'm gonna get my learner's @ the DMV and buy a beater to practice on. Honda Shadow Aeros, Suzuki Boulevard C50s, etc around/under $1,000 in my area, running... Might take one of these guys to a parking lot real soon

You should've gotten a Navi, I see them in my campus parking lot sometimes and they look like a perfect size

This is a motorcycle only legally, it produces 8hp and has an automatic transmission w/ a top speed of 50-55mph. This is just a moped w/ extra steps, I want a vehicle capable of highway commuting, this is good for navigating the city/campus.
