Rant The Catholic and Orthodox Churches undermine the Trinity.

James

Puritanical Christianist
Anyone who denies Sola Fide is undermining the Trinity's righteousness. Anyone who denies Sola Gratia is undermining the Trinity's grace. Anyone who denies Sola Scriptura is undermining the Trinity's authority.

The Christian church does not undermine the Trinity. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches undermine the Trinity.

Those doctrines came out of the Reformation, not the apostles. You’re treating them like axioms when they were never part of the original church. If the Christian church cannot undermine the Trinity, and the Orthodox and Catholic Churches are the historical Christian church, then your argument collapses on itself.

No, Protestantism follows Primitive Christianity more closely than Catholicism or Orthodoxy ever could. The early Protestants and the first Christians would have united to condemn the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.

I have read most of Martin Luther's works and advocate for them. I chose the Seventh-day Adventist Church because of its emphasis on living a healthy and minimalist lifestyle.
I do not drink. I do not own a credit card. I do not own a phone. I do not own a television. I do not smoke. Etc.

Get on the Seventh-day Adventism grindset.

Prolly the most based reason I've heard as to why you're of a denomination. I'll be honest, I left my church around the time I made my account and still haven't been to a new one. Reformed zoomer's map only shows presby ones for me and it's like only one and far away. Makes it suck to find one. Almost every Evangelical in Brazil is Pentecostal sadly so that contributes to it

It was a reactionary movement that threw out sacred tradition and replaced it with private interpretation. That’s why you have 40,000 denominations, all claiming to be "Biblical."

Luther didn't throw out any traditions except for the handful that scripture openly forbids. Pic related is what the average Lutheran church looks like. You cannot, in good conscience, pretend that we're anywhere the same as evanjellies.

Catholics and Orthodoxy interpret the Holy Scriptures within the context of Church teachings, while Protestants interpret the Holy Scriptures within the context of the Holy Scriptures. The Protestant tradition is Trinity-based, while the Catholic and Orthodoxy traditions are mankind-based.

Protestants follow the word of the Trinity, while Catholics and Orthodoxy follow the word of mankind.

the apostles disagreed with each other and we find each of the 5 solas in each of their belief systems don't forget Luther was an augustinian monk

not all protestants are radical baptists who dont even consider themselves to be protestant your straw manning for no reason

The problem is the principle you accepted. Once you make private interpretation the highest authority, you open the floodgates. Luther kept some traditions, but his logic led to their eventual erosion. Every Protestant group claims to be “Biblical,” yet they all contradict each other.

I've given my thoughts about this many times, man.

The apostles were united in doctrine and bound by sacred tradition and the Church established by Christ. Disagreements on practice did not mean schism. What you have with Protestantism is fragmentation on an industrial scale, with each man his own pope, redefining doctrine as he sees fit. Luther’s Augustinian background is irrelevant as he still broke from the Church and set the precedent for endless division.

The Catholic and Orthodox Churches believe that Christians guided by the Holy Spirit cannot interpret the Holy Scriptures. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches undermine the power of the Holy Spirit.

This sort of doesn't make sense when you examine the implications. How does a person know his interpretation is right? How does he know he is guided by the holy spirit? There's obviously a lot of people who read the Bible and end up in disagreement so it's not like every person that picks it up automatically knows how to interpret it.
The fact is, Bible wasn't made specifically for the masses to read (as the masses were illiterate at the time of its writing), it's a historical, divinely inspired document compiled by the Church (who thus had the authority to compile it). Whether someone is guided by the holy spirit to interpret it is neither here nor there because we had people for whom we know were guided by the holy spirit and that's the people who compiled it

How does a person know his interpretation is right?
The Holy Spirit tells Christians whether their interpretation is right or wrong.
How does he know he is guided by the holy spirit?
The Holy Spirit becomes incorporated into a Christian's conscience and consciousness, speaking to them and providing the right answers.
we had people for whom we know were guided by the holy spirit and that's the people who compiled it
Yes, Martin Luther.
