Underwhelming. Unnecessary. Unoriginal.
Boring.
That's about it.
It's a paint by the numbers Netlfix show with Black people in Japan for the sake of having black people in Japan.
It's always jarring seeing gaijin in Japan. And they've been doing it more and more lately. It's one of the reasons I don't watch many Netflix original shows. If I want to watch a show set in japan, I want to see Japanese culture. Psycho pass season 4 had the same thing with a russian guy in Japan. But atleast they explain that he came as a refugee.
Ofc the characters being black doesn't add anything to the story. But you can just tell from everything that this was supposed to be a Caucasian and they just painted him black. But even with that, the story being set in Japan makes no sense. I guess it mostly has to do with the Terminator series being based in Americana and any attempt to deviate from that feels wrong. Honestly the whole show feels like something shoehorned into the terminator universe.
If you've seen any number of sci fi anime about AI and robots and time travel, then you've already seen everything this show has to offer. I expected more and I don't know why this show exists in the first place, or how it has a 7/10 on IMDB.
