I just read the book of revelation:This theory says that Jesus' thousand-year reign has already happened and that we are now living in the period where satan is released, mentioned in Revelation 20:3. With him being released around the Enlightenment period.
I’m pretty sure Revelation wasn’t meant for modern times and was a metaphor for the fall of Rome. The original “antichrist” was Emperor Nero whose name literally is 666. Then you find out John had to watch what he said due to possible political suppression and it all makes sense.I'd say this theory is plausible. The world went from Christendom to chaos within a few centuries.
One aspect I'm unsure of however, if Satan’s release started in the Enlightenment, where’s the gathering of the nations for war (Revelation 20:8-9)? You could say we’re in the buildup phase, but this part of the prophecy seems unfulfilled.
Jesus was most likely referring to the events surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, or possibly the Transfiguration. Anyway, Christ's Kingdom on earth isn't about random, mysterious old buildings that lack toilets. It’s about spiritual transformation and redemption, not buildings made of mud, kek.Jesus did mention that "there are some standing here who will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom." Perhaps the mud flood buildings were built under Christ’s Millennial Reign? They contained no toilets or kitchens as Spiritual beings would not need these utilities.
I don’t think we should dismiss the possibility of Revelation holding future significance. Scripture often operates on multiple levels, addressing concerns while pointing to broader, eternal truths. The way Revelation speaks directly to the early Christians enduring Roman oppression can also be applied today as Christians become the target of discrimination and persecution.I’m pretty sure Revelation wasn’t meant for modern times and was a metaphor for the fall of Rome. The original “antichrist” was Emperor Nero whose name literally is 666. Then you find out John had to watch what he said due to possible political suppression and it all makes sense.
