While I'm researching other topics and gathering information for future threads, I'll share a quick summary of some (over a month-old) news.

More than half of American adults (53%) now express an unfavorable opinion of Israel and their confidence in Netanyahu has remained relatively low (32%), according to the newest Pew Research Center survey.

This survey was conducted from 24 to 30 March of this year, using a nationally representative sample of 3 605 American adults.

Every individual who participated in the study was a member of the Center’s American Trends Panel (ATP), a group of people recruited through national, random sampling of residential addresses who have agreed to take surveys regularly. Supposedly, this kind of recruitment «gives nearly all American adults a chance of selection». The interviews were conducted either online or by telephone with a live interviewer.

The survey asked American adults whether they have a favorable or unfavorable opinions of Israel, using just the name of the country rather than asking about «the Israeli people» or «the Israeli government». It should be noted that this study considers people who identify as Jewish culturally, ethnically, religiously (or non-religious) and by family background as «Jewish».

Although some «minor religious groups» (Mormons, Hindus and Buddhists) took part in the survey, there weren't enough respondents from those groups to report on their answers separately.

I'm not surprised by the results of Catholics, White Evangelicals and Jews in this one.

The contrast between Republikikes and Demolochcrats is almost abysmal.

Gen X and Boomer Republicans (50+ years old) won't likely ever overcome their childhood indoctrination.

Again, I'm not surprised by the results of Catholics, White Evangelicals and Jews.

"Peaceful" two-state solution.

Younger Americans are clearly breaking from the old Cold War brainwashing. They didn’t grow up with the chosen ones myth drilled into them through Reagan-era Sunday school and Fox News patriotism. They grew up watching airstrikes on livestream and seeing IDF TikToks with hashtags slapped on dead bodies.

The only groups still riding or dying for Israel are the usual suspects: white evangelicals, boomers, and neocons in denial. Evangelicals still think they’re speeding up the Rapture, so every bomb dropped is a prophecy fulfilled. And the Jewish demographic, of course, still leans toward defending Israel, though even there, cracks are forming among the secular and younger crowd.

The only question is how long the institutions can ignore it. Because eventually the dam will break open.

I want to be happy about this but hating Israel because they blew up some Palestinians doesn’t matter in the long run because since when did voting ever change anything. Most of these people are likely not awake to the Jewish question and have no idea that Zionists control every aspect of modern society.

This brings me hope. --- Also, I actually knew of this statistic. The weirdest thing that came to my eye is that the biggest group demographic opposed to Israel and which holds negative views on the Jewish state was young Republicans (Such as I). So, I wonder, Why is it that young white right-wing men are the most opposed to Israel vocally? Why do we have such grounds and momentum?

My guess is social media. Boomers grew up on TV and were brainwashed to love Israel. Zoomers don’t watch TV and instead spend their free time on social media where they can come across opposing viewpoints.
