Do you know anything about ancient astrology? I've heard it's true and that modern day astrology is a butchered and commercialized version of it, but I never looked any further.

There must be some truth to it or else it wouldn't be so widespread. It's probably heavily watered down with lots of BS mixed into it, as is often the case with esoteric knowledge turned mainstream.
