Milo Yiannopoulos Talks About His Jewish Identity, Trump and Zionism in Berlin

There might as well have been a red carpet leading to the
Hopfingerbräu Beer Hall near the German parliament, where about 150
supporters of Germany’s populist Alternative for Deutschland (AfD)
waited eagerly for the fashionably late guest speaker, Milo
Yiannopoulos. These days, as one of America’s most controversial,
censored media pundits, he’d be lucky to get any welcome at all to
most parties, conferences and government halls in the United States.

Germans, unless they are conservative political junkies, may not have
heard of the British-born “Milo,” as he’s known. The former tech
editor of the pro-Trump outlet Breitbart, told the enthusiastic
Hopfingerbräu crowd, “I’ve been called a racist, an anti-Semite, a
misogynist, a white supremacist, a homophobe, a pedophile apologist
and a transphobe. Only Islamaphobe is true.”

It’s that kind of in-your-face style talk that got the flamboyantly
gay, platinum blonde banned from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, PayPal,
EventBrite, Shopify, Patreon, Mailchimp and Tumblr (to name a few).

As a Jew married to a black man, Yiannopoulos says he is amused by
being called a homophobe, anti-Semite, and racist. The 34-year-old
credits himself with being a game-changer during the 2016 presidential
election when he famously called then President-elect Donald Trump,
“Daddy.” The then sought-after speaker defied stereotypes of stodgy
Republicans, coopting the entertaining language of the left to
advocate for conservative issues and personalities.

But his big mouth got him into trouble among conservatives, too. He
was fired from Breitbart after discussing his teenage sexual encounter
with his pastor. Claiming that he never intended to condone
pedophilia, he said that sometimes such relationships have a
consensual element. He also lost his book deal with Simon & Schuster
but ended up selling a quarter of a million copies of his 2017 book,
“Dangerous,” through his own publishing house.

The morning after the AfD soiree, Yiannopoulos sat down at a hip West
Berlin café to discuss Jewish identity and Israel, revealing a
tortured relationship with his Jewish identity because of his tortured
relationship with his mother, a Jew of German descent.

“I had a really s—– childhood and because I hated my parents so much
it had a consequence of me not learning much about my family,”
Yiannopoulos said, a crucifix dangling around his neck. He was raised
by his Greek-Irish Catholic paternal grandmother and considers himself
Catholic. Yet when he speaks about Jews, he often speaks in the first
person, including himself as a Member of the Tribe, even attributing
his biting humor to his Jewish side. “I tend to only wheel it out to
irritate people in arguments and whenever they’re accusing me of
insane things,” he said.

He thinks the Jewish community and the “Jewish lobby” would be well
served not to “throw a gasket” every time someone — even a politician
— throws out what may appear to be an anti-Semitic trope. “Just like I
don’t like left-wing political correctness about women and blacks and
Muslims, I don’t like right-wing political correctness about Jews and
Israel.”

Citing freshman Democratic Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.),
who tweeted that American support for Israel was “all about the
Benjamins,” Yiannopoulos said Jews could nail Omar on a lot more than
a tweet.

“People claim that really stupid things are anti-Semitic that are not
really anti-Semitic, or they make more of a fuss about it than they
need to.”

According to Yiannopoulos, since Jews are disproportionately
influential in media, publishing, entertainment and finance — “it’s
not conspiracy, that’s a fact” — he said, Jews often are perceived as
enforcing taboos quite ruthlessly. “So if somebody says something
about Israel, even if we kind of know that it was just a criticism of
Israel, we can say it’s anti-Semitic to win the argument, right? And I
feel as though a lot of the times when the left and right say
something is anti-Semitic, it isn’t.”

He also believes some Trump supporters and right-wing activists also
resent Jewish groups that disproportionately push for mass Muslim
immigration and so-called “progressive” values. “There is definitely
something weird about why Jews, despite their social values, vote left
wing,” he said.

“Just like I don’t like left-wing political correctness about women
and blacks and Muslims, I don’t like right-wing political correctness
about Jews and Israel.” — Milo Yiannopoulos

Regarding Israel, Yiannopoulos calls himself a “paid-up Zionist” who
believes Israel is a bastion of civilization in a region of Islamic
tyrants, saying he’d be the first to advocate for a Jewish
“super-state” in the Middle East. Still, he has “tough love” for
Israel, where he’s partied in Tel Aviv.

“I’m perfectly happy with Israeli special forces and American
intelligence and all the rest of it going in and assassinating every
leader of Hamas tomorrow,” he said. “I would sign that as my first
executive order as president, but I don’t think it aids the cause to
overreact to things — as much pressure as there is to respond and to
retaliate — especially when, for instance, no Israelis get killed or
hurt.”

What he believes are Israel’s heavy-handed actions in Gaza he said,
can make Israel come across as a “cry-bully. You can’t play the victim
while actually having the biggest stick and you can’t pretend to be
weak when everyone knows you’re strong, because you come across as
disingenuous and you lose the moral high ground.”

He thinks the real anti-Semites (including Omar), find their home in
the radical, anti-Israel Democratic Party. Still, he said, Omar’s
tweet wasn’t objectionable enough to justify such hysteria. “I’m a
free speech fundamentalist. I think you should be able to say whatever
the hell you want.”

He also said he loves to test what can and can’t be said in a public
forum without crossing into what he believes is honest-to-goodness
racism. Conservatives, he said, must not cry over being de-platformed.
Social media are a game. They must eventually make a clean break from
left-leaning Silicon Valley and find new ways of reaching out. He is
planning his own, indie late-night online talk show, a mixture, he
said, of Bill Maher and Johnny Carson.

“I am perfectly happy to be a martyr, because it’s necessary,” he
said. “And I’m perfectly happy to make that sacrifice because it’s
necessary. I could perfectly, easily have had a television show by now
if I had kept my mouth shut. There are plenty of people working in
entertainment who have quite right-wing views who just don’t express
them or who express the opposite. I can’t do that. It’s not in my
nature to be able to lie for money.”

Yiannopoulos’ visit to Berlin might have lured him out of forced early
“retirement,” with European populists granting him a fresh audience.
“Given how systematically [conservatives are] being scrubbed out of
existence in America, we’re becoming more readily available to Europe,
which I think is probably where we’re needed most at the moment
anyway, because we won the ‘Trump fight,’ and he’s going to have a
second term anyway.”

At the beer hall, he told the populist Germans that urging them to
rediscover the “heroic masculine virtues so mocked by today’s timid,
weak, feminized German culture, isn’t a nostalgic appeal to darker
times from our continent’s past. It is a reminder that without
courage, confidence and strength, all that is good and decent about
European civilization is at risk.”

And, according to him, among the greatest risk to European
civilization is uncontrolled, mass Muslim migration. “Even the
migrants’ hatred of Jews is overlooked,” he told the AfD crowd. “This
is not the first time in Germany’s history that it has become a scary
place to be a Jew.”

Even if Europe ends up rejecting him, Yiannopoulos said he has found
unparalleled contentment in the New Jersey country home he shares with
the “love of his life” and a llama.

“But I do get a little bit antsy not doing much around the house,” he
said. “It’s probably a waste of talent for me to stop doing what I’m
doing at this age and I think I can do a lot of good.”

Jews DO control the media

JULY 1, 2012, 11:05 AM

Elad Nehorai is a writer living in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

We Jews are a funny breed. We love to brag about every Jewish actor.
Sometimes we even pretend an actor is Jewish just because we like him
enough that we think he deserves to be on our team. We brag about
Jewish authors, Jewish politicians, Jewish directors. Every time
someone mentions any movie or book or piece of art, we inevitably say
something like, “Did you know that he was Jewish?” That’s just how we
roll.
We’re a driven group, and not just in regards to the art world. We
have, for example, AIPAC, which was essentially constructed just to
drive agenda in Washington DC. And it succeeds admirably. And we brag
about it. Again, it’s just what we do.
But the funny part is when any anti-Semite or anti-Israel person
starts to spout stuff like, “The Jews control the media!” and “The
Jews control Washington!”
Suddenly we’re up in arms. We create huge campaigns to take these
people down. We do what we can to put them out of work. We publish
articles. We’ve created entire organizations that exist just to tell
everyone that the Jews don’t control nothin’. No, we don’t control the
media, we don’t have any more sway in DC than anyone else. No, no, no,
we swear: We’re just like everybody else!
Does anyone else (who’s not a bigot) see the irony of this?
Let’s be honest with ourselves, here, fellow Jews. We do control the
media. We’ve got so many dudes up in the executive offices in all the
big movie production companies it’s almost obscene. Just about every
movie or TV show, whether it be “Tropic Thunder” or “Curb Your
Enthusiasm,” is rife with actors, directors, and writers who are
Jewish. Did you know that all eight major film studios are run by
Jews?

But that’s not all. We also control the ads that go on those TV shows.

And let’s not forget AIPAC, every anti-Semite’s favorite punching bag.
We’re talking an organization that’s practically the equivalent of the
Elders of Zion. I’ll never forget when I was involved in Israeli
advocacy in college and being at one of the many AIPAC conventions. A
man literally stood in front of us and told us that their whole goal
was to only work with top-50 school graduate students because they
would eventually be the people making changes in the government. Here
I am, an idealistic little kid that goes to a bottom 50 school (ASU)
who wants to do some grassroots advocacy, and these guys are literally
talking about infiltrating the government. Intense.

Now, I know what everyone will say. That everyone tries to lobby.
Every minority group and every majority group. That every group has
some successful actors and directors. But that’s a far call from
saying that we run Hollywood and Madison Avenue. That the Mel Gibsons
of the world are right in saying we’re deliberately using our power to
take over the world. That we’ve got some crazy conspiracy going down.

Okay. Fine. So some of that is kooky talk.

But let’s look at it a bit deeper.

Maybe it’s true: everyone lobbies. Maybe it’s true there are actors of
every ethnicity out there. But come on. We’re the ones who are
bragging about this stuff all the time. Can’t we admit that we’re
incredibly successful? Can’t we say it to the world?

I’ll give my theory for why Jews don’t want to talk about their
control of the media.

First of all, as much as Jews like to admit that so many of them are
successful, and that so many of them have accomplished so much, they
hate to admit that it has to do with they’re being Jewish. Maybe
they’ll admit that it has something to do with the Jewish experience.
But how many Jews will admit that there is something inherently a part
of every single one of them that helps them to accomplish amazing
things?

The ADL chairman, Abe Foxman, was interviewed in a great article about
the subject and he said that he “would prefer people say that many
executives in the industry ‘happen to be Jewish.’” This just about
sums up the party line.

The truth is, the anti-Semites got it right. We Jews have something
planted in each one of us that makes us completely different from
every group in the world. We’re talking about a group of people that
just got put in death camps, endured pogroms, their whole families
decimated. And then they came to America, the one place that ever
really let them have as much power as they wanted, and suddenly
they’re taking over. Please don’t tell me that any other group in the
world has ever done that. Only the Jews. And we’ve done it before.
That’s why the Jews were enslaved in Egypt. We were too successful. Go
look at the Torah — it’s right there. And we did it in Germany too.

This ability to succeed, this inner drive, comes not from the years of
education or any other sort of conditional factors, but because of the
inner spark within each Jew.

Now, the reason groups like the ADL and AIPAC hate admitting this is
because, first of all, they are secular organizations. Their whole
agenda is to prove that every Jew is the same as every other person in
the world. I cannot imagine a more outlandish agenda. No, we’re
different. We’re special.

Of course, people hate when anyone says this. They assume that if
you’re saying that Jews are special, it somehow implies that they’re
better.
To be honest, I’m not really sure what the word “better” even means.
What I do know is that being special simply means a person has a
responsibility to do good.
I think that’s the real reason most Jews are so afraid to admit that
there’s something inherently powerful and good about them. Not because
they’re afraid of being special. But because they’re afraid of being
responsible. It means that they’re suddenly culpable when they create
dirty TV shows that sully the spiritual atmosphere of the world. It
means that things can’t just be created for the sake of amusement or
fun or even “art.”
Suddenly, we can’t screw up the world.
The interesting thing is that Jews have done so much for the world in
so many other ways. They’ve moved forward civil rights; they’ve helped
save lives in Darfur, Haiti and just about everywhere else.
But that’s not enough. Fixing the world physically is only half the battle.
Our larger battle, the harder battle, is elevating the world
spiritually. And this is what the people that fight with every inch of
their soul to prove that Jews are just the same as everyone else are
afraid of. It means that we can no longer just “express ourselves.”
We’ll have to start thinking about the things we create and the way we
act. It means we’ll have to start working together. It means we’ll
have to hold one other, and ourselves, to a higher standard.
The time has come, though. We no longer have to change our names. We
no longer have to blend in like chameleons. We own a whole freaking
country.
Instead, we can be proud of who we are, and simultaneously aware of
our huge responsibility — and opportunity.

I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe “the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews,” down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood.

How deeply Jewish is Hollywood? When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to shut down all film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah.

The person they were yelling at in that ad was SAG President Alan Rosenberg (take a guess). The scathing rebuttal to the ad was written by entertainment super-agent Ari Emanuel (Jew with Israeli parents) on the Huffington Post, which is owned by Arianna Huffington (not Jewish and has never worked in Hollywood.)

The Jews are so dominant, I had to scour the trades to come up with six Gentiles in high positions at entertainment companies. When I called them to talk about their incredible advancement, five of them refused to talk to me, apparently out of fear of insulting Jews. The sixth, AMC President Charlie Collier, turned out to be Jewish.

As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you’d be flipping between “The 700 Club” and “Davey and Goliath” on TV all day.

So I’ve taken it upon myself to re-convince America that Jews run Hollywood by launching a public relations campaign, because that’s what we do best. I’m weighing several slogans, including: “Hollywood: More Jewish than ever!”; “Hollywood: From the people who brought you the Bible”; and “Hollywood: If you enjoy TV and movies, then you probably like Jews after all.”

I called ADL Chairman Abe Foxman, who was in Santiago, Chile, where, he told me to my dismay, he was not hunting Nazis. He dismissed my whole proposition, saying that the number of people who think Jews run Hollywood is still too high. The ADL poll, he pointed out, showed that 59% of Americans think Hollywood execs “do not share the religious and moral values of most Americans,” and 43% think the entertainment industry is waging an organized campaign to “weaken the influence of religious values in this country.”

Who runs Hollywood? C’mon

BY JOEL STEIN

That’s a sinister canard, Foxman said. “It means they think Jews meet at Canter’s Deli on Friday mornings to decide what’s best for the Jews.” Foxman’s argument made me rethink: I have to eat at Canter’s more often.

“That’s a very dangerous phrase, ‘Jews control Hollywood.’ What is true is that there are a lot of Jews in Hollywood,” he said. Instead of “control,” Foxman would prefer people say that many executives in the industry “happen to be Jewish,” as in “all eight major film studios are run by men who happen to be Jewish.”

But Foxman said he is proud of the accomplishments of American Jews. “I think Jews are disproportionately represented in the creative industry. They’re disproportionate as lawyers and probably medicine here as well,” he said. He argues that this does not mean that Jews make pro-Jewish movies any more than they do pro-Jewish surgery. Though other countries, I’ve noticed, aren’t so big on circumcision.

I appreciate Foxman’s concerns. And maybe my life spent in a New Jersey-New York/Bay Area-L.A. pro-Semitic cocoon has left me naive. But I don’t care if Americans think we’re running the news media, Hollywood, Wall Street or the government. I just care that we get to keep running them.

I almost forgot about jews and pornography. The only one on this list that is suspect is Joe Francis, I have nothing to confirm his roots. Not sure if he's jewish.

Top Jewish Pornographer Admits Jews Have Controlled The Porn Industry From Its Very Beginnings

August 20, 2019 by Christians For Truth
As part of the “Taboo Talks” series presented by the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in San Diego on May 8, 2013, Mike Kulich, the late jewish owner of Monarchy Distributors, one of the largest pornography companies in America, candidly revealed that Jews do, in fact, control and dominate every aspect of the pornography industry:

Kulich stated:

“Jews in the adult industry, there’s a lot of them….The adult industry was pretty much founded by the Jews. Basically, in the early nineteen hundreds, the German Jewish immigrants came in, and when they were trying to get into different industries, there was a lot of antisemitism where they couldn’t get into normalized work….so they gravitated toward the porn industry because it’s kind of the seedier cousin of the Hollywood industry which had already been controlled by the Jews. Basically, they pretty much took it over. If you look at the big stars…

So basically back in the 1960s, 70s, it was founded by people like Dan [unintelligle], and then later in the 80s, The Godfather of the modern day porn industry, his name is Reuben Sturman, who was actually an Orthodox Jew who owned over 200 bookstores all around the country. He’s actually my godfather, which is kind of weird. So Reuben Sturman, what the Jews did pretty much was they revolutionized the adult industry and made it their own. So there was no space for antisemitism. And they basically controlled everything.

So back in the 80s, the only way to get pornography was to go through someone like Reuben Sturman, and he controlled all of his stores and all the stores that he didn’t own, they actually had to pay him a tax to carry his product, and he was the only place to get product from, peep shows from. And later what the Jews did they started the manufacturing end of the business. There were a lot of Italians that were coming into the business, but what they [the Jews] did was they created the manufacturing side which is the replication of printing because back in the day if you wanted to make a VHS or Beta tape or whatever, you couldn’t go down to Kinkos or whatever or any mainstream printer. It would be like, I want to print “G**g B**g My Mom Number Three”.

So what they did was they created all these companies that manufactured DVDs and VHS and Beta and printing and all the companies pretty much had to go through the Jews. So Reuben Sturman eventually he died in prison….they tried to get him for obscenity back in the ‘80s, which was a big thing, and there actually still is an obscenity risk today. But he eventually died in prison because of tax evasion, because didn’t want to pay taxes

Back in the ‘70s, the majority of the male porn performers were jewish, and the majority of the female performers were Roman Catholic. And if you look at the names of the classic porn stars, you got Ron Jeremy, which isn’t really jewish [sounding], but you have Hershel Savage….It’s kind of funny because those guys came into the industry, and I actually asked a couple of
Them, cause I asked Ron Jeremy, “Why did you guys decide to go into the porn industry? What was it that drew you in besides the obvious?” He was like “I got to f**k Roman Catholic chicks”….and fulfill every fantasy of every jewish boy has ever had.
So I think the jewish performers, they’ve always been really prevalent in the industry, and even now Ron Jeremy is still one of the most well known performers….Joanna Angel…Daphne Rosen…there’s a bunch of them. And for the most part, the business side is still controlled by Jews. Steve Hersch, who runs Vivid. Steve Orenstein, who runs Wicked. You have me who runs the biggest porn company [Monarch] in the world. Second biggest. But for the most part, the business owners are pretty much Jewish or have Jewish ties, or at some point worked for a Jew in the business to get their start
.”
So let’s get this straight: Kulich claims that Jews controlled Hollywood from the beginning, but because of “antisemitism”, Jews couldn’t get jobs working in jewish-controlled Hollywood, so they had no choice but to work in pornography. That”s what he said, and no one challenged him on that absurdity. If it sounds familiar, it should because Jews also claim that the reason they engaged in usury is because they couldn’t get jobs doing anything else, and Christians weren’t allowed to lend money at interest.

But of course when Kulich claims that Jews control the porn industry and Hollywood, he’s not attacked for making age-old antisemtic “tropes” and “canards” for the simple reason is that he’s bragging about it and implying that it’s a good thing. When the goyim make the same claim, however, they are attacked as “antisemites” because we don’t think porn and Hollywood filth is good for society. Jews love to control everything, but they don’t want to be criticized when that control leads to any negative consequences or backlash, which it inevitably does.

You give White Christian men freedom of speech, and they found the greatest nation the world has ever known. You give Jews freedom of speech, and they make pornography, advocate communism, and censor anyone who criticizes them.

My note: The original interview with Mike on YT got taken down. (Or at least I can't find it).

But wait! Trump is bas...oh.

JANUARY 30, 2017JOSEFIN DOLSTEN

American Jews are watching the beginning of Donald Trump's presidency with both fear and hope.

Many have expressed worries about some of his supporters' ties to the so-called "alt-right" movement, whose followers traffic variously in white nationalism, anti-immigration sentiment, anti-Semitism and a disdain for “political correctness." Those fears intensified when Trump named as his chief strategist Stephen Bannon, the former chairman of Breitbart News, a site Bannon once referred to as a "platform" of the alt-right. Trump's strongly conservative Cabinet picks also back policies on health care, the environment, abortion and civil rights often diametrically opposed to the views of most Jewish voters.

Yet others have praised Trump's stance on Israel and his nomination of David Friedman, a bankruptcy lawyer who supports West Bank settlement construction and has expressed doubts about the two-state solution, as U.S. ambassador to Israel. Trump won 24 percent of the Jewish vote, with especially strong support in the Orthodox community.

Here is a look at the president's Jewish advisers who will be helping to shape U.S. policy for the next four years.

JARED KUSHNER

Trump's Orthodox son-in law is serving as a senior adviser to the president. Kushner, the 36-year-old scion of a prominent real estate family from New Jersey, will not receive a salary and will focus on the Middle East and Israel as well as partnerships with the private sector and free trade, according to The New York Times. A day before his appointment was announced, Kushner said he would step down from his role as CEO of his family firm, Kushner Properties.

Kushner, who married Trump's daughter Ivanka in 2009, played a crucial role in the president’s campaign, especially on Israel. He worked on Trump’s speech to the AIPAC annual policy conference that earned the real estate mogul a standing ovation, and helped plan a trip to Israel for his father-in-law last year. (Trump canceled the trip after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed his call to ban Muslim immigration to the United States.)

Trump appears to be smitten with Kushner, often referring to his “fantastic” son-in-law when boasting of his pro-Israel credentials.

Kushner may have become a household name during the campaign, but he’s no stranger to the limelight. In 2006, at 25, he bought the New York Observer newspaper. Two years later he became CEO of Kushner Properties, four years after his father was sent to jail for tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering. In 2015, Fortune named Kushner to its 40 Under 40 list, an “annual ranking of the most influential young people in business.”

DAVID FRIEDMAN

Friedman, a bankruptcy expert and longtime Trump attorney, was tapped as the U.S. ambassador to Israel. A statement by Trump's transition team in December said Friedman, who speaks Hebrew, would serve from Jerusalem, but White House press secretary Sean Spicer said last week that Trump had yet to decide on moving the embassy from Tel Aviv.

Friedman, who is in his late 50s, is the son of a Conservative rabbi with a family history of ties to Republican presidential candidates — his family hosted Ronald Reagan for a Shabbat lunch in 1984, the year he won re-election. He lives in Woodmere, New York, in the largely Jewish area known as the Five Towns, and owns a home in Jerusalem's Talbiya neighborhood, according to Haaretz.

Friedman has expressed support for and funded construction in Israeli settlements, and has expressed doubt about the future of the two-state solution, traditionally a pillar of bipartisan U.S. policy in the region.

Some of his controversial statements — including slamming backers of the liberal Israel advocacy group J Street as “far worse than kapos" and charging President Barack Obama with "blatant anti-Semitism" — have sparked outrage from liberal groups.

JASON GREENBLATT

Greenblatt, the longtime chief legal officer for the Trump Organization, is working as special representative for international negotiations focusing on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, U.S.-Cuba relations and American trade agreements with other countries. An Orthodox Jew and Yeshiva University graduate, Greenblatt studied at a West Bank yeshiva in the mid-1980s and did armed guard duty there.

A father of six from Teaneck, New Jersey, Greenblatt said he speaks with people involved in the Israeli government but has not spoken to any Palestinians since his yeshiva studies. He has cited the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as one of his main sources for staying informed about the Jewish state, and helped draft Trump's speech at the lobbying group's annual conference in March.

Greenblatt, who has said he supports the two-state solution, has implied that Trump will take a laissez-faire approach to peace building.

"He is not going to impose any solution on Israel," Greenblatt told Israel's Army Radio in November. He also said that Trump "does not view Jewish settlements as an obstacle to peace."

STEVEN MNUCHIN

Trump picked Mnuchin, a former Goldman Sachs executive who worked as Trump's national finance chairman during the campaign, to serve as Treasury secretary.

Trump and Mnuchin have been friends for 15 years, and prior to being in charge of Trump's campaign finances, Mnuchin, 54, served as an adviser. Part of what The New York Times describes as one of Manhattan's "most influential families," Mnuchin and his father -- the prominent art dealer Robert Mnuchin -- both became wealthy working at Goldman Sachs. The younger Mnuchin also co-founded the entertainment company RatPac-Dune Entertainment, which has worked on such Hollywood hits as "Avatar" and "Black Swan."

Some saw Trump teaming up with Mnuchin as unusual, considering that the real-estate mogul had consistently bashed Goldman Sachs during his campaign — but it doesn't seem to have hindered a good working relationship.

STEPHEN MILLER

Trump named Miller, who has played a crucial role in his campaign by writing speeches and warming up crowds at rallies, as senior adviser for policy.

Miller, who has described himself as "a practicing Jew," joined the Trump campaign in early 2016, quickly rising through the ranks to become "one of the most important people in the campaign," as Trump's campaign manager told The Wall Street Journal.

Previously the 31-year-old worked for seven years as an aide to Trump's choice for attorney general, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., helping the lawmaker draft materials to kill a bipartisan Senate immigration reform bill. Some of Sessions' arguments are similar to the harsh and often controversial statements by Trump on the issue, such as calling for building a wall on the Mexican border and banning Muslim immigration to the U.S.

Though Miller grew up in a liberal Jewish home in Southern California, he was drawn to conservative causes early. As a high school student he wrote a letter to the editor of a local paper in which he slammed his school for providing free condoms to students and for making announcements both in English and Spanish, among other things.

CARL ICAHN

Icahn, a businessman and investor, is serving as a special adviser on regulatory reform issues. He is working as a private citizen rather than a federal employee or special government employee.

An early supporter of Trump’s candidacy, Icahn, 80, is the founder of Icahn Enterprises, a diversified conglomerate based in New York City formerly known as American Real Estate Partners. He has also held substantial or controlling positions in numerous American companies over the years, including RJR Nabisco, Texaco, Philips Petroleum, Western Union, Gulf & Western, Viacom, Revlon, Time Warner, Motorola, Chesapeake Energy, Dell, Netflix, Apple and eBay.

Icahn is a major giver to Mount Sinai hospital in New York City, among other philanthropic endeavors. In 2012, he donated $200 million to the renamed Icahn School of Medicine there.

In addition, Icahn established seven Icahn Charter Schools in the Bronx borough of New York.

GARY COHN

Cohn, the outgoing president and chief operating officer at Goldman Sachs, heads the White House National Economic Council. At Goldman Sachs, where he had worked since 1990, Cohn answered to CEO Lloyd Blankfein and was considered a strong candidate to lead the bank.

The 56-year-old father of three has a reputation for abrasiveness, but also for getting things done, according to a Wall Street Journal profile last year. In a 2014 New York Times op-ed, Goldman Sachs executive Greg Smith wrote on the day he resigned that Blankfein and Cohn were responsible for a “decline in the firm’s moral fiber” that placed its interests above those of its clients.

Cohn, a Cleveland native, in 2009 funded the Cohn Jewish Student Center at Kent State University named for his parents.

Success wasn't always obvious for Cohn, whose struggle with dyslexia made school difficult for him. But the Goldman Sachs banker, who was featured in a book on underdogs by writer Malcolm Gladwell, told the author that his learning disability also taught him how to deal with failure and that "I wouldn’t be where I am today without my dyslexia."

BORIS EPSHTEYN

Epshteyn, a Republican political strategist who appeared as a Trump surrogate on TV, is working as a special assistant to the president. Epshteyn, who is in his mid-30s, also is serving as assistant communications director for surrogate operations.

A New York-based investment banker and finance attorney, Epshteyn was a communications aide for Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008, focusing his efforts on the Arizona senator’s running mate, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

He defended Trump on major TV networks over 100 times, according to The New York Times. TV hosts have described Epshteyn, who moved to the United States from his native Moscow in 1993, as “very combative” and “abrasive.”

In 2014, he was charged with misdemeanor assault after being involved in a bar tussle. The charge was dropped after Epshteyn agreed to undergo anger management training and perform community service.

DAVID SHULKIN

Dr. David Shulkin, the undersecretary for health at the Department of Veterans Affairs, will lead the department as secretary under Trump if confirmed by the Senate. He would be the first holdover appointment from the Obama administration, in which he served since 2015.

Shulkin, 57, is an internist who has had several chief executive roles, including as president of hospitals, notably Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He also has held numerous physician leadership roles, including as chief medical officer for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and academic positions, including as chairman of medicine and vice dean at the Drexel University School of Medicine.

As an entrepreneur, Shulkin founded and served as the chairman and CEO of DoctorQuality, one of the first consumer-oriented sources of information for quality and safety in health care.

REED CORDISH

Trump chose Cordish, who is friends with his son-in-law Jared Kushner, to serve as assistant to the president for intragovernmental and technology initiatives. He will be responsible for initiatives requiring multi-agency collaboration and also focus on technological innovation and modernization.

Cordish is a partner at his family’s real estate and entertainment firm, the Baltimore-based Cordish Companies, .

Cordish’s father, David, the chairman and CEO of The Cordish Companies and an AIPAC board member, is a friend of Trump. The two met during the mediation process of a lawsuit in which Trump sued The Cordish Companies.

And Cordish, who is in his early 40s, has another connection to the Trump family — he was introduced to his now-wife Margaret by none other than Ivanka Trump, who attended the couple's wedding in 2010 with husband Jared Kushner. Cordish and his wife were listed as co-hosts for a Manhattan fundraiser for Trump’s presidential campaign in October, Jewish Insider reported.

AVRAHM BERKOWITZ

Berkowitz, 27, is serving as special assistant to Trump and assistant to Jared Kushner. Berkowitz and Kushner met on the basketball court of an Arizona hotel during a Passover program, Jewish Insider reported. The two stayed in touch and Berkowitz went on to work with Kushner in several capacities.

After graduating from Queens College, Berkowitz worked for Kushner Companies and later went on to write for Kushner's paper, the New York Observer. In 2016 Berkowitz, who was then finishing up his last semester at Harvard Law School, directed a Facebook Live talk show for the Trump campaign. Later he worked on the presidential campaign as assistant director of data analytics.

Berkowitz's first cousin is Howard Friedman, who served as AIPAC president in 2006-2010, according to Jewish Insider.
