I'm stalling for time. Most security positions involve dealing with the public. And since I don't want to fist fight Africans, I need to find a night shift in a secluded area so I can be left alone.

Most security positions involve dealing with the public. And since I don't want to fist fight Africans, I need to find a night shift in a secluded area so I can be left alone.

Secondhand information, possibly dated: a lot of security outfits won't give out the relaxed positions until you have proven yourself competent in some other jobs. This sucks because you can't trust them to eventually entrust you with a good position. Still a great option for college/independent students because of how much time is doing nothing but you have to do periodic patrols or reports.

Ah, I was unclear. the "proven yourself in other jobs" came from hearing about the first tasks with a security company being very hands-on roles where you can't laze around nearly as much, like being a backup bouncer at weddings or something.
