I've just finished re-watching Kill la Kill after some years of not going back to it, this has been the 4th time now, and goddamn not only did I enjoy it but I did it way more than the other times, something I thought not possible. I guess that when a story has complex concepts in it you just understand them better than when you're a teenager.

With that said, I'm gonna focus this post on one character, Kiryuin Satsuki.

Warning: Spoilers ahead

After watching the series again I feel like I've developed a real oneitis for her, a fictional character, reason being she embodies everything a woman should be. The protagonist, Matoi Ryuko, is also a great character, but I like Kiryuin Satsuki way more for certain reasons:

Let's begin by her physical aspect: She has blue eyes, black long hair, perfectly shaped face, and perfect butt and boobs. She's also 5'7 and pale with a good body shape. All of this combined makes her the ideal woman physically to me. I also like big eyebrows, it makes her seem natural instead of the usual fake made-up face.

This is how an 18 year old young grown up woman should look like:

Now let's talk about her character.

Unlike most anime girls, whose whole purpose is to act clumsy and stupid to look cute (something I hate, because it looks childish), Kiryuin Satsuki is always a serious, smart and elegant character that really stands above anything else I've seen.

One thing about Kill la Kill is that it has your typical japanese peepee poopoo humor, which I don't find funny but in this case I like it because it makes me feel comfortable watching it. All of the characters of the series fall into this humor except Satsuki and her mother.

Finding a female with this attitude on an anime is unusual to see for the reason I stated two paragraphs above, and her character development makes it really believable.

She had known since she was a 5 year old kid the obscure plans of her mother, which thraumatized her, and since then worked on a plan against her mother by training and recruiting new friends into her project (a high school full of powerful soldiers).

All of what she does through the series is very smart and coldly calculated, yet her intentions always seem evil. That's why she always remarks while doing those things that her actions are pure (the name of her attire "Junketsu" also means "purity").

That's why I find her character overwhelming: she's extremely smart, she never loses her temper, she's warm-hearted and yet acts extremely cold through the whole series unlike the rest of the character. She's also the strongest human character in the series, and unlike real women who only seek mundane things Satsuki has a strong will of her own in her mission to stop her mother. I can observe in all of these traits that she's the oxymoron of the typical hateful woman.

This is why modern anime has done such damage to a whole generation, it has created perfect female characters that we wouldn't even dream of in real life (because none of them have these attributes). I felt pain in my chest towards the last episodes knowing that she would never be mine, but also a sense of relief knowing that she's not real which makes her conserve her purity.

I hope you enjoyed this schizo post, it was a pleasure for me simping for this character for the time I took to write it.
