Politics It’s worrisome that the USA is the only country with free speech

I was looking through Wikipedia hate speech laws and was surprised to see virtually every country (including Russia) has some form of punishment for discriminatory language. Somehow America is unironically the last bastion for freedom, and that’s all because of a piece of paper the founding fathers wrote. If we didn’t have that, we’d be living like the UK right now.

On a serious note though, I think free speech is alright but limiting what can be said is le good. See, the issue I have with total free speech is that I think it would degrade the morality of a country and the respect people have for one another. Some asshole can say something obscene about your family, friends, religion, culture, race/ethnicity, or you and get away with it. I'm not talking about your typical insult, I mean something really disgusting. If you attack him it is assault. USA does it mostly right and that's a big part of why I'm happy to live here. When it comes to saying whatever you want about the government, you should be fine to say as you please.

If someone on the street says they’re going to rape your family, then that’s clearly intent of doing harm and should be illegal. As for slurs, I wouldn’t say nigger in real life, but making that illegal would be retarded as people mishear words all the time.

The whole point of free speech is to be able to say anything you want without legal consequence you retarded low iq nigger especially things people don’t like. That’s literally what the founding fathers wrote it and intended it for facts don’t care about your feelings

Geeg, parroting Rabbi Shapiro, are we? It's not about saying anything I want without legal consequences, it's about protection from the government and the freedom to criticize it. If I go up to you and say I'm going to rape your mother or some disgusting shit like that, what will you do? Any right man would try to beat the shit out of me. Harassment among reasons (like treason, for example, speaking about confidential government documents) is why absolute free speech is stupid.

American conservatives are in a constant state of cuckoldry and cognitive dissonance, since they somehow have to believe in America's founding ideals (Liberalism) and Christianity at the same time.

Well we can use the topic of free speech as an example. Liberals hold free speech to be important. However a Christian ruler really has no reason to always respect free speech, as his most important concern is the salvation of his subjects. Therefore he can violate free speech by censoring bad ideas, if he sees fit. There's one (1) contradiction for you.
