Interlacing in TVs

Anyone ever had a 1080i TV? I sure as hell have, it's even from a Brazilian company called SEMP. Anyway, what do you guys think of it? I switched to a 1080p monitor for my PS3 and the difference was night and day. 1080i feels smooth and kinda smudged, 1080p feels sharp and pixel perfect.

I owned a 720i as a hand-me-down. They’re complete garbage because they display half the fresh rate of interlaced TVs.
