I bought this game with my nintendo shekels for less than £2 because what else was I going to use them on

The game retails at around £15-£20 which is an absolute scam

The game starts as if the devs had an idea, but then lost steam for it after 5 seconds.

It then devolves into heckin liminal spaces and random pretentious art with a few easy puzzles, 3 stealth sections, and running around empty pastures.

The game is heckin mysterious, surreal and artistic and filled with random, meaningless things for redditors to make sense of

liminal space slop that I beat in one sitting after 3 hours 0/10

Limbo was also a piece of shit that is almost identical. At least shit like gone home had the (unintended) horror aspect. The controls were sluggish and floaty as shit.
Somerville is another game made by the same guy and it’s the same concept in different packaging. By that time even normie gamers were bored of the formula.
 
I hate games where they leave everything up to interpretation. Too many indie trannies think it’s the best way to tell a story when all it does is leave out details because the writers don’t have the skill to write straightforward stories.
I have the opposite issue (not counter signaling OPs critique doe), I hate it when writers don't leave ANYTHING up to interpretation. Some things are just better left to an individual's imagination, some mysteries should be preserved and in many cases an explanation a writer can provide is not going to be as satisfying as speculation on audience's part. (I extend this to "character backstories", most of the time I don't actually find it interesting to see how a character matured into who he is, and if it is interesting enough to put the main plotline on pause then the backstory should be the actual story)
Bottom line is: discretion is a skill completely lost on the retards that pass for writers in the current year.

Paying £20 for this is an outrage

£2 is what it is worth and it kills 3 hours, thats the best I can say, but I dont really care for games in general so who knows.

This game felt like it only had a few nuggets of gameplay moments and they werent anything special at all

It’s basically a bastardized version of Oddworld.
 
Love it when devs think having you die repeatedly is some form of entertainment.

People demand answers now. They want instant gratification and have no patience for ambiguity. It’s a symptom of cultural decay, honestly. If everything is laid bare, there's no room for wonder, let alone space to engage with the material on a deeper level.
