Gaming I can’t believe normies enjoy open world slop

I booted up Witcher 3 for the second time this year and I can’t go on longer than 10 minutes without getting pissed because this damn game won’t shut tf up. It’s torture sitting through so much dialogue when I want to get to the gameplay because this is a GAME not a movie/book. That’s why I always mention BoTW and ER being the pinnacle for the genre. They let you jump into the world without holding your hand or vomiting a million words per hour.

Open-world games are too fucking big to be fun. A lot of the time you’re too busy running around like an idiot trying to figure out where to go next. You could easily cut half of the map out and fill the remaining space with interesting content instead of reusing assets to artificially extend play time.
this, as I get older, I started to hate filler contents with a passion, would rather play an intense 10 hours game than a 50 hours open world shallow slop.

The indie games in question:

Play the original Dragon Age games.
I’ll check it out. I don’t normally like western RPGs but I know a way to get it for free so I’ll give it a go.

If you're looking for a unique open world / rpg / survival / zombie / builder / create your own story / co-op game...
This bad boy is fuckin' awesome.
