xenforo takes up a lot of resources...
why i don't use it personally for projects..
better hosting is the only solution really, or upgrading, but xenforo is expensive + hosting... shit adds up fast.
normies don't understand what it takes to not only run software on a website but moderate and update it. it's a lot of work...
if @Seraphim put a donation link or something on the site everyone would say "sToP sHiLLInG fOr MoNeY" but they expect everything to work perfectly.... typical zoomers....
i put up a cool tshirt link for Chud Star and they did this.
depending on what seraphim's current hosting situation is I can probably help... but, like on soyjak.blog - promoting my hosting = sHiLLiNg

this is the benefit, not to toot my own horn, but if we have problems on the site i can just go into the files and fix shit. i also have a team that does support 24/7 that are better at this shit than me... so just throwing that out there. not sure what you're paying now..
wouldn't do economy for xenforo but $130 a year.. can give you 50% off the first year and migrate the entire site for free in about 20 minutes. can even leave your old site hosted and all you'd have to do is switch the domains name servers to see if it works better... the other benefit is i have custom cpanel and we do 2-3 backups daily so if there is a problem its as simple as clicking - revert.

its most likely just the hosting CPU limit for shared hosting... most mainstream hosts throttle their shared hosting into the ground.

I used to use shared hosting and never had any issues. I’m guessing whatever host the admin is using is bottom of the barrel.
yeah the basic hosting's arent usually good, but even then, a lot of hosts limit their CPU's, my hosting you can use 100% of the CPU for a limited time so it keeps your site from bogging even if it needs some extra power for a bit. They were larping on the shlog but the CPU limit is just that.... most hosts don't offer anything like that... let alone 100%
I did some tinkering around so hopefully it's an improvement. And the next stable upgrade for Xenforo will be released in September or so which should iron out the alert bugs.
The only problem I'd be worried about is if any government officials forced you to release the data. Currently, I'm hosting in a country safe from the five, nine, and fourteen eyes.

Nigga i live in mexico without paperwork, for almost a decade. You really think they gonna find me, take me down, or get me to snitch... if your hosting is on lock it's cool.
