Here's an interesting video regarding the legitimacy of the incident (that's half a megabyte too large to be uploaded here but I also don't want to compress it any more than it already). At around 3:30 he talks about the most interesting incongruity. Seemingly, there is a magazine on the mosque floor after he first enters it and after backing out of the the large room he picks it up and inserts it into his rifle.

It's interesting because it makes no sense either way (though obviously leaning towards fake). If it's real, why would his magazine be waiting there for him? If it's fake... well again, why would his magazine be waiting for him there and why would he pick it up and load it like it's a part of the script? Unless I'm missing something (timeline got fucked up), it's quite puzzling.

In the video it looks like the mag is sitting in the exact spot as he enters the mosque for the first time, then again it could just be a very convenient artifact lining up with the exact spot his mag later falls down. As I said, the detail is weird regardless of the legitimacy of the shooting.
