Gaming Donkey Kong Country series game ranking

The Bee W Sea
1. DKC2

Best level design, best music, best theme (pirates, carnivals, haunted mine rails) one of the best SNES titles.

2. DKC Tropical Freeze

Has better platforming than DKC2 but the level themes aren’t as good.

3. DKC1

Most average game in the series that doesn’t do anything exceptional or downright bad.

4. DKC3

I hate the Canadian theme and half the levels are either bland canyons or copy-paste factory levels. The new character is atrocious and butt ugly. Only cool thing are the secrets on the map.

5. DKC Returns

This is just a generic platformer with Donkey Kong in it. No modern platformer should be stuck in the ice, fire, mines, forest routine unless you put your own spin to it. And the enemies are just wooden tikis.

Its ass

Heckin random level themes, maps are ugly and hard to navigate, retarded coin system, retarded save system (you save in the kong college, which on my first playthrough I didn't know how to save because who the fuck saves in a college, a college is for tips)

Pretentious atmospheric music, shitty bee levels, whole game looks dark and gloomy and invisible, first game to not have donkey kong has playable character, level design is just random enemy spam and doesn't work well with the screen crunch and retarded vechiles like the ballon.

The game has no sense of progression as you already enter lava levels on the second world, and then gloomy caves, gloomy forest, gloomy this and gloomy that.

That shit should be end game

Liked on first play through but can't get into it on my second playthrough tbh

Game has a much bettER aesthetic tho

Been ages since I played it so barely remember

Been ages since I played it so barely remember but I do recall it being pretty gemmy

Don't know how the music is pretentious but fine. The level progression though, does it really matter if the locations don't make sense? It's not like this is some adventure game with a plot. And Diddy Kong controls exactly like DK.
Also, DKC3 also has coins.
