Imagine having to argue w your father about giving you money for genioplasty or drugs, how would you go about it? How do you justify it to your father? He doesn't wanna hear it, he will spend it on the next sports car or something stupid like that

Although now that I think about it, he might be swayed if you say you want to be an actor (like his idiot half brother)

His dad wouldn't have given him money regardless, that's my point, even when he was in a better spot financially. I know it's not stated, but I have a suspicion his father resented ER for being an autistic manlet freak despite ER's feelings for his dad
