The Last Emperor
Follows the life of Puyi, last emperor of China, during his re-education in a CCP war criminal prison. You get flashbacks to his crowning as a toddler, his teenage life, the Kuomintang period, and the puppet state he was emperor of, Manchukuo. All the while Puyi learns that his puppet state was an opium extracting operation by the Japanese.
It's a brutal film because it tells you how his royalties included not learning how to pee at the side of the toilet to not wake anyone up. It gets so bad that, in the extended cut, one of his servants gets married and is allowed to leave prison. It's based on his biography.

No? Video games are 99% bloated garbage which probably fell off around the similar time software became more bloated, 2015. Vidya is the embodiment of soy goycattle consumerism people will waste hundreds of dollars just to play the latest vidya because they care more about the franchise than whether or not they actually need the latest Nigvidia 1488 processor. I was watching a video by Pudd_Sinc Gaming where he says gaming stopped being good in 2008 and when it stopped being a children's media, he's right.
There's a reason companies have tried to cultivate Marvel-type worship by manchildren is because well, the medium is can't focus on the previous target audience due to younger people playing Subway Surfers instead of stuff like Doom 2, if they kept focusing on children they wouldn't have much success with what they want to achieve.
There's also Steam which is the most overrated corporation to have ever existed and is only glazed due to the company's previous successes. I pray that Deadlock is complete shit if it's not already out as that will hopefully make people treat Valve less like the kings of gaming. Valve normalized the gambling in gaming, Valve killed off physical PC games, and Valve made the biggest DRM platform ever.
Also being honest if you're post-39 and still playing games actively tf is wrong with you man.

In my eyes, it predicted the current state of the UK and other countries: In the movie, gangs of men are running around raping and killing people, robbing and having violent conflicts with each other, and the government does very little to actually fight this. The only one who gets punished for his crimes is Alex, whereas Georgie and Dim become police officers. The infrastructure is crumbling, and the streets are littered with garbage.

The book is better than the movie if you have any interest in it. The book's written in a way where even if what's happening is messed up it feels light because you're reading the thoughts of the protagonist who sees it as just fooling around. It may sound weird but I found it a very fun book to read.
Also the bad things he does all happen in the beginning of the book and the rest of it involves how he suffers for what he did. The beginning of the book is the weakest part but after he's arrested it gets pretty good.

I've been reading the book for the past week and a half and a half, I agree, although I haven't finished it, so my opinion might change. I will probably finish it either today or tomorrow depending on how much I read.
