Why do redditors say this shit
weren't angels supposed to not be terrifying?Because redditors are mostly atheists who’ve never opened a Bible, so the idea of actual angels terrifies them. They expect soft, fluffy Hallmark card cherubs, but when they see the descriptions of wheels of fire and six-winged beings, they lose their minds. It’s funny how these are the same people who’ll laugh at Christians but then freak out over the angels as if they weren’t supposed to be terrifying messengers of God in the first place.
The fear isn't necessarily because angels are inherently terrifying, but because of the overwhelming nature of their divine authority and glory, which can be difficult for us humans to comprehend.weren't angels supposed to not be terrifying?
why would they tell us to not be afraid
so plebbitors would just vaporize at their presenceThe fear isn't necessarily because angels are inherently terrifying, but because of the overwhelming nature of their divine authority and glory, which can be difficult for us humans to comprehend.
i think i read this somewhere too"Biblically accurate" angels are the form they come to you if you've been chosen to become a prophet. If you're just a regular dude you're gonna see humanlike angels. Or so I've heard, at least. I haven't looked into that that deeply.
