I was for a long time a nonbeliever in Astrology, but I am realizing a lot of my favorite historical figures believed in it and they are pretty smart people.

This guy on Twitter says that most astrology books are terrible, I didn't realize that Astrologers got in so many arguments over the correct interpretation of the stars. It is possible that studies about astrology, along with other "pseudosciences" like parapsychology, are only finding bad results because those who actually truly understand these disciplines are clouded out by the phonies

To play devil’s advocate, the Bible is filled with astrological references in the form of divinations, and every big general, billionaire, head of state, or empire of any kind has likely used astrology.
 
I think the stars are such a beautiful mystery, to write off all patterns that have been observed in space I believe would be a disservice as clearly there are some patterns in the sky which I believe is a gift from God, im not into astrology (never really researched it) at all but theres got to be something there right?

if there isn't really any developed alien life but the one on earth then it would make sense we would have nice views of constellations, but the patterns we talk about are made by ourselves so it really doesn't matter to a germ in mars when they won't recognize any significant shape

In that perspective then every pattern on earth that we see is also made by ourselves, which made be true, but it doesn't mean that there isn't some mystery and math involved with it
 
I only know 5 times that I've disagreed or were confused about an astrological description. So unironically there is a good chance of astrology being true.

I have heard that in western astrology there is a divide of traditional astrology and modern astrology. I have also heard people swear that trad is better and more accurate than modern, though I don't know myself.
