I didn’t know the Soviets made cartoons, let alone good ones. They’re not as whimsical as Western style cartoons and have a more grounded tone, but I think I actually prefer that. As the overly cheery and loud atmosphere Westerners inject into their animations was never my style.

I noticed some scenes are missing a few frames that would help make the transitions smoother. Other than that it’s pretty enjoyable.

Until now I never knew that Russian can be a beautiful language to listen to.
