Probably not much by the time that they actually got to the hefty city bombings, albeit I'd imagine the average German feller didn't really care either way at the time, since the average feller in any of these countries isn't thinking about Syrian children having their legs blown apart by his government. There was a good amount of widespread populational outrage in places like Britain and even Japan in the earlier years of ISIS' offensives in Syria and Iraq after humanitarian workers like David Haines and journalists like Kenji Goto were captured and beheaded, but this discontent did not last for more than a few news cycles. They were only used as further justifications by the governments to kick-start these bombings, which is somewhat ironic, since the Islamic State was trying to use these hostages as bargaining chips to attempt to cease the already ongoing American bombings that the Obama administration had begun earlier in 2014.
